Shows I could Never Write For

I already did a post on 24, so I won't include it in this post, but that would be a great example.

Burn Notice:

This show is like a modern day MacGyver. It's about a spy named Michael Westen (Jeffery Donovan), who got "Burned", which basically means he was fired very suddenly and severely (if you have seen or read the Bourne Series, it's the same idea). He started his life back up in Miami with his sort-of girlfriend but mostly work partner Fiona (Gabrielle Anwar) and friend and partner Sam (Bruce Campbell). The three of them help solve peoples problems in really creative ways. There is a continuous story line of Michael trying to find out who burned him and dealing with people who want him dead. The coolest part about the show is Michael's extreme knowledge of anything and everything that has to do with the spy world. He knows the ins and outs of every weapon and make-shift device. He can get himself out of any situation he finds himself in. Matt Nix created the show and is the primary writer.

Bones:

As i've expressed before, i'm not crazy about these kind of crime shows like CSI or Law and Order. I get bored with the non-continuous story line and stop watching. But I stuck with Bones and i'm glad I did because I quickly became addicted to it. I love the characters: Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz), Temperance Brennan or Bones (Emily Deschanel) and their great chemistry, along the rest of the main cast. I love that it's in D.C. and I also enjoy the main idea that it's not just about crime scene details but mainly about bones and what you can find from them. It differs from other shows in the same category and I find it more interesting. I could never write for this show because of all of the lab work that they do that leads them to the suspects. I can barely understand it while i'm watching it! But I still always feel like i'm learning something new. The show was created by Hart Hanson, who if you're a fan of the show is a fun person to follow on twitter - www.twitter.com/harthanson
